Anne’s May Update and Musings – Balance

You’ve all seen it. The Taijitu or Yin-Yang symbol.
But what does it really mean?
It reflects a simple truth: the forces of life are both opposite and complementary at the same time. They interact, interconnect and support each other. When they exist together, there is balance.
Within each side, you’ll notice a smaller circle of opposite color. A reminder that within the dark, there is always a seed of light. And within the light, a seed of dark. Nothing is absolute.
The relationship between the yin and yang is always a flowing motion, symbolized by the S-curve that connects them.
Pulling it all together, balance – true neutrality – emerges when opposites work in harmony rather than conflict.
Interestingly, modern science echoes this idea. In the article Quantum 'yin-yang' shows two photons being entangled in real-time in Space.com (August 28, 2023), writer Ben Turner explores a stunning experiment with the properties of entangled photons. The basis of the experiment was to design faster quantum computers, but what they discovered deserves a look.
Through biphoton digital holography, the experiment captured an image of two entangled photons bound together in real time. The result closely resembles the yin-yang symbol itself. Quantum entanglement describes how two particles can become so deeply connected that a change in one instantly affects the other, regardless of distance. Any distance.
It seems to me, this is a reflection of something deeper. The balance of the universe, reflected back to us.
This got me thinking about how this parallels our daily lives.
Our world feels so divided right now. Each of us has beliefs that influence how we see what is right and wrong. Many of those beliefs are so embedded into the subconscious that we rarely stop to question them.
So when someone sees things differently, it’s easy to label them as wrong.
But what if, for one day, we looked at those beliefs?
What if we stepped into the higher perspective and allowed others to believe what they believe. Without needing to change or disagree. We don’t have to judge it as right or wrong. It just is.
For this one day, can we bring ourselves back into balance, into flow. To a space where things don’t have to be good or bad… they simply are.
As Mark Twain said, “The right word may be effective, but no word was ever as effective as a rightly timed pause.”
Love and Light,
Anne
