Anne’s January Update and Musings - A Crazy Solar System in 2025

Whether you are an astrology buff or not, it seems 2025 is going to be a radical year for our solar system. So, whether you just want to enjoy seeing some awesome planetary opportunities or whether you want to know the deeper meaning of these alignments, here are some highlights for 2025. Either way, they will rock your world.

Overall, 2025 will be a year of endings and beginnings.

2025 is a “9” year, meaning 2+0+2+5 = 9. In numerology, 9 signifies endings, which in turn, ushers in new beginnings. And this year holds a very different vibe from the previous years when it comes to astrology. A lot of this difference is coming from the outer planets: Uranus, Neptune and Pluto.

Pluto is now in Aquarius until 2043. (Are you hearing the 5th Dimension song, “Age of Aquarius” in your head now? Hahaha.) This has not happened since 1798! When Pluto has been in Aquarius in the past, some amazing and radical transformations took place. For example, King Henry VIII broke away from the Catholic Church and established the Church of England, the French and American revolutions happened, the Industrial Revolution began, the smallpox vaccine was invented, the sewing machine was invented and hot air ballons were invented. Pluto is the planet of transformation, destruction and rebirth, all wrapped in great intensity.           

Neptune, which has been in Pisces since 2011, is entering into Aries for the first time in 14 years. This change brings imagination, intuition and creativity to a new high. Neptune dissolves boundaries. It is a powerful time to explore your personal passions and begin bringing them into form. Neptune will revert back to Pisces again before it finally takes hold in Aries, but it will give you a wonderful taste of what is to come. This kind of energy hasn’t been around for over a hundred years, so expect some major shifts taking place.

Uranus also begins a move into Gemini later this year and finally takes a firm footing in 2026. Uranus brings change, innovation and breakthroughs on both an individual and collective level. This could bring completely new ways of communicating and lots of forward thinking – can you say breakthroughs.  

Saturn will follow Neptune into Aries later in May. Saturn brings the energy of long-term commitment, building and responsible, grounded action. This planetary alignment marries the innovative imagination of Aries with the devotion and tangible creation of Saturn. In other words, this will be the combined energy of personal authority, courage and resilience so that we create our own reality and move it into form. And in March and November, Saturn’s rings will temporarily disappear from view, something that only happens every 13 to 16 years.

Jupiter will begin its entry into Cancer toward mid-year. Jupiter brings opportunities, healing and expansion while Cancer brings emotion and self-introspection. This combination will invite you to travel deep within yourself for emotional healing from patterns from childhood, families and experiences we may have been too young to process and integrate. We can move forward with compassion in a safe place.

So, are you beginning to see a theme here? And when the outer planets move, because they move so slowly, it brings about generational change. As these planets move back and forth from their previous sign to their new sign, it may feel a bit like two different worlds. One is ending while the new one takes form.

So, get inspired! Reinvent yourself! The energy of the cosmos is definitely behind you 100%.

On February 28, there will be a rare planetary alignment with all seven outer planets appearing to align from Earth’s perspective. The planets will be visible all at once in an extraordinary great planetary alignment.  You will need some binoculars or a telescope to see them all, so plan ahead!
